Welcome to Brick Hill Farm: home to new-age farmers, Jon & Jo, plus their starter flock of chickens... The following pages show our (slow) progress in turning this rather ramshackle small-holding into a fabulous home. We increased the size of our flock in 2008 from 2 to 6 (then down to 5) and egg production is on the up. Next project is for some weaners (pigs to you and me) for fattening up and putting in the freezer.

First challenge is getting in, despite four entrances off the road, the easiest to use is a hole hidden in the hedge... but there's plenty of room for visitors and parking once you find us!

  'Kylie' made the move in one piece although she's not found her ideal spot yet...

One of the challenges with an overgrown garden is you never know what will grow where, but at least the bulbs we planted in the autumn have come up in the right place.
