NTE2024 is in the regions!
Whilst most years the National Training Event (NTE) has been held in Canberra, this year NTE will be held across Australia in 7 different regions. Nevertheless it will still be a time of great encouragement as students and graduates gather together to be transformed by the gospel, trained in the gospel, and sent with the gospel. If you’ve always wanted to know God’s word better and deeper, and to have your heart convicted in His global mission, this is the event for you! You’ll meet Christians from all walks of life and be equipped to read and teach God’s word.

The National Training Event is an annual conference run by the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES). It’s time where university students and grads with their campus groups gather together to learn under God’s Word. This includes spending time in main sessions, strand groups, electives and many other activities.

International Partnerships
AFES is part of the wider IFES movement (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students). IFES has grown since the 1930s as tertiary student groups began connecting across borders and oceans, partnering and praying together towards a shared vision. Today, they work and support movements in more than 180 countries.
AFES has the privilege of supporting our sister movements in Slovenia and Myanmar through prayerful and financial partnership. Learn more about these partnerships on our International Partnership page

We would love for you to come! Each year, we greatly appreciate the many international students that give up a part of their holiday break to attend NTE.
This year some regions will run strands groups in English, simple English, other languages of demand as well also run elective options aimed at international students. Check out your region’s page to find out more.
