England players have reported for training for the first as Gareth Southgate's provisional 33-man squad gathers ahead of the upcoming European Championship. Captain Harry Kane led the arrivals on Wednesday as the Bayern Munich star returned to England following the conclusion of the Bundesliga campaign, but will soon be back in Germany where Euro 2024 is being hosted. England's star striker was seen interacting with Manchester United defender Harry Maguire as the pair were reunited for the first time since the last set of international friendlies at the start of the year.

There's no such thing as a quiet season at Manchester United but this one has been especially eventful both on and off the field. Their Premier League campaign was a disaster with Erik ten Hag's side finishing a lowly eighth - their worst performance in 34 years. European ambitions were done and dusted by Christmas. But the FA Cup offered salvation with Saturday's hugely impressive victory over rivals Man City ensuring the campaign ended on a high note, even if it may not spare Ten Hag the sack. The club also entered a new era with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS confirming their part buy-out on Christmas Eve, wasting no time in shaking things up behind the scenes. Jude Bellingham has been named as the player with the highest estimated transfer value in world football on the heels of his blistering debut season for Real Madrid. The England international stamped his mark on LaLiga from his very first outing for Los Blancos following his £113million transfer from Borussia Dortmund last summer, and finished his league campaign with 19 goals and six assists to his name. The 20-year-old scored made a total of 35 goal contributions across all competitions for the Spanish giants, and will look to add to his haul in his final outing for his club this season - Saturday's Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley. 

Jurgen Klopp was spotted boarding a private jet to leave Liverpool after bidding a final farewell to the Merseyside giants.  The German boss said an emotional goodbye to the club just over a week ago as he brought the curtain down on a hugely decorated nine-year spell at Anfield.  He then returned on Tuesday night for 'An Evening With Jurgen Klopp' - an event at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena where he broke down in tears as he said goodbye.

Manchester City captain Kyle Walker has revealed that he rarely watched football before joining Manchester City in 2017. The full-back was signed by Pep Guardiola seven summers ago after eight years in North London with Tottenham which was sprinkled with loan spells at Sheffield United, Queens Park Rangers, and Aston Villa. Now 34 years old, Walker has won almost everything there is to win at Manchester City, playing a key role in City reigning supreme in six of the last seven Premier League campaigns. The tutelage of Guardiola seems to have rubbed off on Walker, and he watches back his clips, sees where he can improve, and watches the sport on a regular basis.

This Saturday night, Dustin Poirier will get his third chance at claiming the UFC lightweight title.  'The Diamond' will take on reigning champion - and the number one pound-for-pound fighter - Islam Makhachev, in UFC 302's highly-anticipated main event bout.  Poirier, who has a professional record of 30-8, has never held a title before but, having come so close previously, will look to put that drought to an end on Saturday.

New footage of Scottie Scheffler's first conversation with cops after being arrested at the PGA Championship has come to light. Golf's world No. 1 was arrested in the early hours of May 17 before his second round at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky for not following police orders during a pedestrian fatality investigation. The 27-year-old was booked on four charges, including second-degree assault of a police officer, which is a felony.

France star Jules Kounde has divided opinion after he was pictured arriving at the pre-Euro 2024 training camps wearing heels. The Barcelona defender arrived at France's Clairefontaine base to join up with his team-mates having been named in the 25-man squad. Kounde, who was seen carrying a Louis Vuitton bag, received attention from fans on social media for another fashion choice.

You'd think, wouldn't you, that seeing the manager who just got your team promoted being nicked by Chelsea might wind you up a bit.  A big team swooping in on your exciting young coach before he's even had a chance to keep you in the Premier League. What's the bloody point, it's a joke and so on. For me, though, and for many other Leicester City supporters, the news that Enzo Maresca is off to Stamford Bridge was met with a sigh and a shrug. 'Is he? That's a shame. Oh well, never mind. Is it the recycling this Thursday or next?'

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp used his farewell appearance with fans to take some good-natured swipes at his Premier League rivals with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all in the firing line. The 56-year-old was attending a question and answer session at the M&S Bank Arena in the city and spoke freely - although not too freely after revealing he had been given a list of topics classed as off-limits.

With the 2023-24 Premier League season now officially done and dusted it appears the summer holidays have begun for several of football's top stars.  Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions two weeks ago, before they suffered defeat in the FA Cup finals to Manchester United on Saturday afternoon. And with no teams in either the Europa Conference League final or the Champions League final, it means English football's top stars will be sneaking off for a quick getaway before the European championships commence on Friday June 14. 

The reality TV show will return to screens on Monday with a brand new cast looking for love, and will feature to more footballers to follow up a theme that has run since the show's inception. The likes of the late Mike Thalassitis, who played for Stevenage and Cambridge and former winner Finn Tapp, who featured for MK Dons, have already appeared on the show, and the villa will open its doors to two more names from the sporting world this summer.

In only her fifth tour-level match on clay the 27-year-old went toe-to-toe with a class player who is rebuilding after injury. She and 26-year-old Badosa were almost indistinguishable. Matching purple Nike kits, white shoes, identical Wilson rackets, visor caps and long blond ponytails.

Less than two months before his Netflix bout against Paul (right), 27, Tyson (left), 57, became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up while making his way from Miami to Los Angeles, his representatives confirmed on Monday. The boxing legend's state forced flight staff to ask passengers if there was a doctor on board to provide assistance, before paramedics boarded the plane once it touched down in LA to provide treatment. While he is already said to be 'doing great' after recovering, Tyson's health scare has reignited fears over his safety heading into the July 20 contest with Paul, who is 30 years his junior.

Tyson (right) is set to take on 27-year-old Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Texas in a mega-money bout that will be broadcast exclusively on Netflix. It is hard to understand why he's willing to do it. He has nothing to prove. There is no history with Paul or his family. Maybe he needs the money, but health surely has to come first. Tyson continues to experience health scares and issues, the most recent earlier this week when he endured a medical scare during a flight to Los Angeles, though is apparently 'doing great'.

Jurgen Klopp was left emotional by Liverpool fans chanting his name at a farewell event in an arena in the city on Tuesday evening. The German boss left his role in charge of the club after their final Premier League game of the campaign on May 19 - but returned to the city for 'An Evening With Jurgen Klopp', an event at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena. Klopp was visibly moved by the tribute from Reds fans, as they sang in the event whilst saying goodbye to the 56-year-old, who left after nine years on the touchline.

A study commissioned by the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) has found that one in five top-level players were using snus, nicotine pouches or both.  The research project took data from 628 male players in the Premier League and English Football League as well as 51 players from the Women's Super League. The results from the 'first-of-its kind' study that a large proportion of players were using the substance.  Snus is a moist, tobacco-based nicotine product that users place between their upper lip and gumline. It is currently banned from being sold in the United Kingdom with users often sourcing it from abroad.

The mood at Old Trafford and Carrington has plummeted just four days after United won the FA Cup by beating Manchester City at Wembley. Ineos have been conducting an economy drive since Sir Jim Ratcliffe made a £1.3billion investment and appointed corporate restructuring consultants Interpath to look at ways of cutting costs across the company. It is anticipated that up to a fifth of the 1,100 workforce could go as United look to save money. Staff received the email on Tuesday and were given a week to decide if they want to give up their jobs by agreeing to 'voluntary resignation'. It confirmed their fears that job cuts have been inevitable since Ratcliffe's minority takeover was confirmed at Christmas.
