Today we were hit by a major grief. A truely major grief.

I knew I had backup scheduled every 12h, right? Right?

Wrong.

In turns out that all recent backups have failed. Luckily, the griefer had no brain. He put lava and fire over an area of the creative world, however he did it on a meaningless structure. You may be thinking, ‘Well that’s not major, is it?’. The physical (or virtual…?) damage is not the problem. It’s the fact that, I trusted you all. I don’t advertise anymore, because our current player base is fantastic, however it turns out that a few of you aren’t what you seem. Some people have the nerve to destroy something if they can. Just because they have the option to.

Well whoever did this, be prepared to have your server experience ruined. Your name will be placed on the MCBouncer list, labeled as someone to never let into your server. Every bukkit server can access this information by default, thus I hope all your future gaming experiences are ruined.

As some of you may know, I’m currently in the midst  beginning my own server hosting business. It’s early days, and it’s a little rocky, however we have a good plan and firm employees.
I have thus decided to merge this community with WayWard Gaming, the company name.
Everything will stay the same, however the names and domains will be transformed.
I will update you with more info as I get it.

As many of you know, my life as a server admin is stressful. I hardly ever get the time to actually play the game, as my online life is filled with complaints. This has driven me to come up with this premise:

Our server gets around 15 people MAX each day. There is no point dedicating a full Gb to the server without utilising it.

So here’s the deal. I half the amount of RAM the main server gets. This shouldn’t impact your playing experience due to our low population. I then add a SECOND server to the mix, a whitelisted Vanilla one, where I will play legitimately with any of you guys who wish to play with me. All of you will be eligible for the whitelist, you merely need to enter your name into a database which will be posted here. The server will use the default server software, and I hope that all the players in-game will work together to play and create a chilled, calm atmosphere.

Here at MineUK, we recently decided to expand our borders past Minecraft.

I’m sure many of you know about TF2. It’s a completely Free-to-Play Shooter developed by the kind people at Valve Software. Due to it’s popularity and our love for the game, we opened a server! It runs the fantastic Mann vs Machine Co-Op Gamemode, 24/7.

The server IP is 23.29.124.243. I suggest you play right away if you have the game, if not then get it! It’s totally free to play with no charge whatsoever.

You first need to install the Steam servive. (Google it)

From within the software, download TF2 from the store.

The game file is around 16Gb, I suggest you download overnight.

Hey everyone!

You may not realise, but here at MineUK we have our very own TeamSpeak server. The software is free to download at http://teamspeak.com, and our server IP is ts3.mineuk.co.uk:16697.

After returning from Portugal, I feel the need to heavily revamp the server’s community features. Starting with the website, everything will be overhauled. Holdon and MrCheese are busy with their projects in-game to improve that experience, but being not just a server but a community means everything needs to be spot on. We’re now using a blog-style WordPress website, more featured packed that the old, outdated website. The forums will be moved to a more versatile and user-friendly service, Facebook and Twitter pages created and maybe more. I feel awkward pushing this, but the more donations we get the better our server can become.
