The “Best MicroLED-Based Technology” was awarded to the 60-inch Transparent Micro LED Display at SID, which maximizes the transparent Micro LED design features, incorporating expandable, seamless tiling technology. It features a full-screen brightness of 600 nits, a transparency rate of over 60 percent, and an exceptional wide color gamut exceeding NTSC 110 percent, allowing flexible applications in various settings.
At the forefront of the U9N’s laundry list of features is its peak brightness potential of 5,000 nits, a meteoric number that puts it among the top of its class. It will also come equipped with over 5,300 dimming zones and an anti-glare ultra low reflection panel for wide-angle viewing. The U9N may also find itself among the best gaming TVs thanks to its swath of supported technologies, like AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Auto Game Mode, and Dolby Vision Gaming, all built on a 144Hz native refresh rate panel.
LED Studio has partnered with gesture-control technology specialist AMERIA to deliver scalable touch-free interactive experiences. LED Studio’s displays can now be integrated with the AMERIA Airframe, a freestanding device with sensors that is installed in front of the display to make it interactive. The user simply needs to hover their hand in the space above the Airframe to interact with the content displayed on the screen in an easy and intuitive way.
The Daylight DC1 is a 10.5-inch (1600×1200) Android tablet that ushers in a new tech the company calls “Live Paper.” Daylight explains that Live Paper “feels like magic, with super-smooth scrolling and interactions across all your apps.” The display hits up to 60fps. This new display, which appears to be only monochrome, touts that it produces no “blue light.” That’s the type of light that’s thought to affect your circadian rhythm, potentially messing with your sleep schedule.
As the display innovation race continues, TCL has introduced a groundbreaking prototype smartphone equipped with a 7.85-inch screen capable of tri-fold bending, showcasing a leap beyond the dual-folding devices currently on the market. The reveal occurred at the Information Display Exhibition (SID) 2024 in San Jose, USA. The device, under the wing of TCL’s subsidiary CSOT (China Star Optoelectronics Technology), remains unnamed but has generated considerable excitement.
