Boughton Community Hub officially open

A new Community Hub, which will provide a space for skills development, social activities, and support for local residents, is now open in Boughton.

Young people gain new skills through projects funded by UKSPF

As part of their work to help young people access new exciting opportunities, Newark and Sherwood District Council has awarded Volunteer it Yourself (VIY) £60k of UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to complete two further volunteer skills development projects.

Newark and Sherwood is Alive with Music.

On Monday 13 May, Newark and Sherwood District Council hosted its very first meeting with the sole purpose of celebrating and promoting the benefits music can offer our community.

Over 70 people attended and Councillor Rowan Cozens, Deputy Leader of Newark and Sherwood District Council and Portfolio Holder for Heritage, Culture and the Arts chaired this important inaugural meeting.
