Some sunny spells in southern areas, otherwise mostly dull or cloudy this afternoon with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, with some mist, over Ulster, Connacht and north Leinster, which will gradually sink southwards through the day though many southern counties will stay dry until evening. Overall cool with highest temperatures of 11 to 16 degrees, reaching a little higher in southern parts, in a light to moderate west or northwest wind, fresher at times along northern and Atlantic coasts.
Tonight
Damp or wet at first tonight with some mist patches. The rain will slowly clear southwards with mostly dry and clear conditions following for the north with a few showers moving into the west and northwest. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees in a light to moderate northwesterly breeze.
Tomorrow
Monday will be a much brighter day with good spells of sunshine and plenty of dry weather. Some well scattered showers will occur, most frequent along northern facing coasts. Highest temperatures ranging from 13 degrees near northern coasts to 18 degrees in the south, in mostly light to moderate north to northwest winds, fresher at times near northeastern coasts.
