South to southwest winds will occasionally reach gale force 8 and gusty Monday morning on Irish Coastal Waters from Carlingford Lough to Wicklow Head to Hook Head and on the Irish Sea.

Wind: Southwest force 4 to 6 imminent. Later backing southerly and increasing force 6 to gale force 8 and gusty by the end of the period.

Weather: Showers developing this afternoon and evening, some heavy with a chance of isolated thunderstorms. Rain spreading from the southwest overnight and Monday morning.

Visibility: Reducing moderate or poor at times in precipitation.

Wind: Southwest to west force 4 to 6 imminent. Soon backing southwest to south. Later increasing force 5 to 7 and gusty and becoming cyclonic variable for a time north of Mizen Head. Becoming westerly and decreasing force 4 to 6 towards the end of the period.

Weather: Showers today, some heavy. Rain spreading from the west tonight. Clearing eastwards to showers Monday morning.

Forecast for Irish coastal waters from Slyne Head to Rossan Point to Fair Head

Wind: Southwest or variable force 2 to 4, occasionally force 5 south of Rossan Point this afternoon. Soon increasing south to southwest force 3 to 5. Later decreasing cyclonic variable force 2 to 4.

Weather: Scattered showers today, some heavy with a chance of isolated thunderstorms. Rain spreading from the south later.

Visibility: Reducing moderate or poor at times in precipitation.

Further rain, possibly heavy with a chance of isolated thunderstorms, moving up from the south on Monday night, clearing northwestwards on Tuesday morning.
