Sarah Ovans, a former teacher turned dealer in antique glass, is one of 50 traders in the "Spitalfields Life Market Traders" exhibition at three separate venues from 10 February until 10 March.
Jo and Richard Waterhouse are father and daughter. It is Jo's stall but she says: "He's my encourager.” She then shows the patch on her sweater that her father expertly darned for her.
This is Jennie Sedwell, Heather Sedwell and Lesley Willis – two generations who work happily together selling vintage textiles, clothing and haberdashery.
Mother and son Sue Stokes and Leo Kurunis. Sue, from Bath, plans to be at Spitalfields every Thursday, taking the opportunity to stay over at Leo's place in Hackney.
“I work with serious clothing but make it fun. My stock is countrywear, not made in the City but worn in the City,” says Paul "the Urban Shepherd".
Mr Singh expertly modelling a dress sword which belonged to the Lieutenant General to the Tower of London between 1880-90.
Vintage clothes dealers Jessica Hazel and Markus Maverick who have chosen to branch out into antiques.
Thomas and Rishi sell animal parts, bones and religious artefacts.
Ian Jeffries and Wayne Shires enjoying their first day on the market. The "Spitalfields Life Market Traders" exhibition can be seen at Spitalfields Market, Truman Brewery in Brick Lane and the Golden Heart in Commercial Street.
