Timothy Barnett, 13, committed suicide on his family's driveway on April 6, 2023 in Sumter, South Carolina. His mother, Betsy Hauptman (right), later discovered that her son was a victim of a Snapchat sextortion scheme. After the local police department closed his case, Betsy and Timothy's father, Jamie Barnett, contacted the FBI for assistance in finding the suspect that was in contact with their son. They also sued Snapchat for for playing a role in their tragic loss.

Co-host of HGTV's Fixer to Fabulous, Dave Marrs, is being sued by a couple who claims the house they purchased from his company was incomplete and riddled with defects. Marrs owns several business and stars alongside his wife Jenny on several renovation shows around their hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas. Benton County couple Matthew and Sarah McGrath have filed a lawsuit against Marrs and his companies for breach of contract claiming the house built for them was filled with defects that have not been fixed.

Shayne Patrick Burke, 35, suffered serious injuries as a result - revealing in a post to Instagram how he was in the 'wrong place at the wrong time'  when a mother grizzly bear attacked him Sunday. The full-grown animal had been protecting her cub, he said - resulting in a vicious attack the combat veteran said  was the 'most violent' thing he's ever experienced. He credited a can of bear spray with saving his life, administered as the omnivoe was gnawing on his hands, legs, and the back of his neck, nearly ending him then and there. But the ex-Army Reservist never gave up - keeping hold of the cannister as she went in for the kill. How he made it out alive? 'As she bit my hands in the back of my neck, she simultaneously bit the bear spray can, and it exploded in her mouth,' he said.

Golfer Grayson Murray died by suicide, his parents have revealed in a statement. The golfing world was left in shock on Saturday when it was announced the American had died less than 24 hours after withdrawing from the second round at the Charles Schwab Challenge in Texas. Murray had previously spoken openly about his battles with depression, anxiety and alcoholism.

The veteran reality TV star said the country is in worse shape than it was 30 years ago because 'a small group of people who have very loud voices created a scenario where bad people got rewarded'. And she lashed out at a culture that increasingly excuses people's behavior on the basis of their background. 'Oh I know how we got here,' she told Fox News Digital. 'When society started to make excuses for bad behavior, and react to criminality based upon the excuses, it fell apart.'

Bill Maher and Megyn Kelly got into a tense argument over her support for former President Donald Trump and how much emphasis should be placed on the fact that many Republican voters deny the results of the 2020 election. Maher was a guest on Kelly's SiriusXM radio show. When Kelly, who is a registered independent, said she would be voting for Trump in 2024, that set the liberal comedian off. Maher has previously said he would vote for 'Biden's head in a jar of blue liquid' over Trump. The Republican front runner has actually commented on Kelly's support for him, saying she was 'making a career' by 'pretending' to like him.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Sunday became a candidate for the Libertarian Party's presidential nomination, a shocking move that could give him enough votes to defeat Donald Trump or Joe Biden in November. Kennedy, who spoke at the convention Friday, was nominated by a delegate on the convention floor on Sunday to be the party's White House standard barrier. Kennedy's candidacy was met with boos from other delegates.  There was initially some confusion over whether or not Kennedy, who is running an independent bid, would accept the nomination and if he had filed the necessary paperwork.

Cressida donned a shimmering bronze one-shoulder dress with a daringly high thigh split. She injected further glamour into her look with a delicate necklace and a pair of golden drop earrings.

The Crown's Charles Dance left little to the imagination as he and girlfriend  Alessandra Masi topped up their tans on a nudist beach amid their getaway to the Spanish Island of Formentera on Saturday. The 27-year-old model and expectant mom - who was in Tokyo days ago - wore a red rugby sweater with black stripe accents. A five-year-old boy from Long Island, New York, has become the youngest person in the world to receive a bionic Hero Arm, which has made him feel like a superhero. Jordan Marotta's mother, Ashley, noted how the Iron Man-style arm instantly boosted his confidence as he eagerly showed it off to his friends at school. The custom-made, 3D-printed prosthetic, created by Open Bionics from Bristol, England, uses sensors to detect muscle contractions and enable bionic hand movements. Jordan's high IQ and size allowed him to get the arm earlier than usual, with his family's health insurance covering the cost. The Hero Arm has allowed Jordan to perform tasks like riding his scooter, making him an extremely happy and confident little boy.

Despite disappointing home sales trends at a national level, one state in the U.S. South saw increased sales last month - though analysts warn buyers of an ongoing inventory crisis. While rates fell throughout the country last month, sales in this state rose year over year for the first time in nearly three years. Existing home sales for the month of April jumped 9.78 percent to 1,122 year to date. Furthermore, the median sold price climbed 4.97 percent from March and 6.51 percent from April 2023. Despite this good news, the U.S. housing market at large continues to face a housing shortage, compounded by factors including the Great Recession and rising mortgage rates.

California cops have agreed to pay a nearly $1 million settlement, after they forced a confession out of a mentally unstable man by threatening to kill his dog if he did not falsely admit to murdering his father - who was found alive and well.  Thomas Perez Jr was questioned by police for over 17 hours in 2018 in an interrogation that amounted to 'unconstitutional psychological torture,' according to the judge.  Perez reported his father missing to police. He was never formally arrested, but was still taken to the Fontana Police Department on Aug. 8, 2018 to be questioned.

Austin Butler led the star-studded guest list at the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.  The Oscar nominee was joined by his Bikeriders co-star, Jodie Comer, with whom he's set to wave the green flag to signal the start of the race. The British actress joked that she watched a YouTube video of fellow actor Adam Driver waving the flag at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway last year in preparation. 

She was born to an overweight German duchess who fled Britain due to her debts. On this day in 1867, Mary of Teck (pictured left in 1873, centre in 1895 and right in 1935) arrived into the world at Kensington Palace, with Queen Victoria describing her as a 'very fine child'. Her mother, Mary Adelaide of Cambridge, was a first cousin of Victoria. Mary went on to be a mentor to her granddaughter Elizabeth (pictured inset with Mary and her sister Margaret) as she became the Queen in the most tragic of circumstances for them both.

The most affordable beach towns in the US have been revealed - with the birthplace of famed beach bum Jimmy Buffett sailing into the top spot. The research compiled by Realtor.com ranked cities across the country based on median property prices for single family homes, including condominiums. The top ten locations range from gambling destinations out east to picturesque, pre-war towns along the Pacific - with some more surprising than others.

A Pennsylvania man detained in Turks and Caicos for carrying ammunition in his luggage has finally been released from custody and reunited with his family.  Video footage captured the heartwarming moment Bryan Hagerich, 39, arrived at Pittsburgh airport Friday night and hugged his crying kids and wife after seeing them for the first time since his arrest in February.  Upon his arrival, Hagerich told reporters he was 'absolutely elated' to be home, CNN reported.
