The site, hopefully, is both a point of reference for people interested in Christ's teachings as well as for those who would like to know more about the seven churches of the Benefice, two of which feature in Simon Jenkins' book "England's thousand best churches". About this site

The website layout is simple, on the left are links about the Benefice itself and below that each of the seven parish churches within the Benefice. Eventually this site aims to give as complete as possible information about each church. At the top of the page are other links which we feel may be of general interest to you. Here you will find information about church services in the Benefice, our News letters and events occurring throughout the Benefice. The church is closely allied to the Wickhambrook Primary Academy which over the years was attended by many of our younger members. There is a site search for information retrieval. Benefice Church of the day - Wednesday

Saint Mary's Lidgate: This ancient building has been a centre for Christian worship and witness for at least 750 years and is still in regular use for the purpose for which it was built. Here we see craftsmanship of many periods - from the 1200s down to our own century, as generations of Lidgate folk of different historical periods and Christian traditions have altered, enlarged and beautified it.
