Discover our WLR products
WLR lets you offer your own-brand phone service on our network using our copper cables and networking equipment. We maintain the lines so you can concentrate on providing high-quality services to your customers.
How it works
WLR3 connects our network to terminating equipment at your customer’s site. It supports incoming and outgoing public switched telephone network (PSTN) calls, including those routed through the BT network, carrier pre-select (CPS) or indirect access (IA).
You can pick between single and multi-line services. We offer “Basic” and “Premium” for single-line services, which give you different options. All multi-line packages come with “Premium”.
Using WLR3 means you agree to Ofcom’s general conditions of entitlement.
We’re modernising the way we deliver phone services
The PSTN is ageing and will reach the end of its life in December 2025. New digital technologies are taking its place, which means that some products will need to move to alternatives before the network is switched off.
At the moment the PSTN supports wholesale products like WLR3 Analogue, ISDN2, ISDN30, LLU SMPF, SLU SMPF, Narrowband Line Share and Classic products. These products (called “WLR products” in the industry consultation), deliver analogue voice and broadband communications for homes and businesses. So when the PSTN closes, they won’t be available anymore.
Moving to new technologies gives us lots of opportunities to develop more reliable and future-proof products and services. Find out more about this.
