At 613 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and weak waterspouts. This thunderstorm was located 9 nm northwest of Kenner, moving northeast at 10 knots. Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes. Brief, weak waterspouts are possible with this activity.
