Thanks for looking in! I'm Jamie and I've been photographing weddings since 2005. About five years ago, I moved back home to Aberdeen with my family. I remember thinking that I couldn't wait to start photographing weddings in all the amazing Aberdeenshire venues and the past few years really have been quite magical! Creating beautiful story-telling wedding photographs in Scottish castles is pretty much a dream come true for me and hopefully, no matter where your venue is, or what it looks like, that shines through in every set of photographs I create. After all, it's the people that make the wedding, not the location!
This is documentary photography, refined over the years until it looks completely natural. It's all about expertly telling the unique story of your day, capturing those emotions for you to look back at over the years to come. It's about the fleeting glances, the tears (of all kinds!), the little here-and-gone-forever moments that go together to tell the story of your wedding.
I'll be there to capture it all without interfering. You might not see very much of me throughout the day but about three weeks after your wedding I'll send you the most beautiful gallery of documentary photographs. Each one will have been individually worked on. Timeless but contemporary, each one will have its own meaning to you.
Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire are where I photograph most of my weddings but needless to say, I'm always happy to travel further afield and have worked everywhere from Tuscany to London via the Isle of Skye!
