Here is my Daybook entry for today ~
Outside my window. . . I noticed some robins in the yard a little while ago, stopping for a snack on their northerly flight home, many patches of green grass springing up, dandelions and a few other wildflowers are making an appearance as well.
~~~~~~~~~~
I am thinking. . .about menus for the week.
~~~~~~~~~~
I am thankful. . .for God’s love, grace and mercy in my life.
~~~~~~~~~~
In my kitchen. . .a busy evening with people coming and going tonight, so I may pick up some tacos for dinner.
~~~~~~~~~~
I am wearing. . .navy gathered shirt and sweater, blue jeans
~~~~~~~~~~
I am creating. . .still working on my Varsity quilt, although I am also eyeing a new Sweetwater flower mini quilt kit that I just received in the mail.
~~~~~~~~~~
I am reading. . .I just finished “Dana’s Valley” by Janette Oke and Laurel Oke Logan. I really loved this book! It was the first contemporary Oke book I’ve read and it was so compelling and engaging as I walked with the Walsh family as they dealt with various trials and tragedies in the life of their family, especially the serious illness of one of their children.
~~~~~~~~~~
I am hoping. . .to finally be able to shake this cold bug that I’ve been battling for weeks. I thought it was done, but then it came back for a little visit this past weekend.
~~~~~~~~~~
I am wondering. . .how the home appraisal we had done this morning will turn out. We are in the process of refinancing our mortgage and are hoping for a good value on the house.
~~~~~~~~~~
In the homeschool room. . .Benjamin Franklin, moths, “Pilgrim’s Progress”, “Happy Hollisters”, Astronomy, Laura Ingalls Wilder, the human body, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”, and “Alice in Wonderland” are some of the things we are studying this week.
~~~~~~~~~~
Around the house. . .everything’s nice and clean after our visit this morning from the home appraiser (enjoy it while it lasts!), kids dancing in the living room to the WiiU game “Just Dance” – so fun to watch them all do this together!
~~~~~~~~~~
In my garden. . .it’s time to pick up some onion sets and get them planted out in the big garden this week. I bought a new garden journal to plan out my gardens for the year – I always look forward to doing this!
~~~~~~~~~~
A favorite quote for today. . .“For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” – 2 Corinthians 4:18b
~~~~~~~~~~
One of my favorite things. . .rustic farmhouse style decorating, especially Joanna Gaines inspired rooms and pieces.
~~~~~~~~~~
A picture thought for today. . .
Last year’s onion plants happily growing in their garden box – time to plant this year’s crop in the next week or so!
