Welcome!

My name is Joel Portman.  I work as Manager, Network Development for Centene Corporation, working on growing our health plans and leading network development for our Health Insurance Marketplace product.  I am on the Young Professional Boards of LifeBridge Partnership and the Jewish Federation of St. Louis. I graduated from the University of Denver in 2011, completing a Master of Business Administration degree as part a dual degree program with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies.

I am an innovator, a collaborator, a friend, a learner, an educator, a thinker, a change agent – and much more.  I am a network builder, a diversity and inclusion advocate, a social media enthusiast and a lover of friends, family, the outdoors, travel, and learning.

I have experience working in the healthcare, education, diversity/inclusion, retail, and non-profit industries with organizations ranging in size from five people to Fortune 500.

This site serves primarily as my personal blog and portfolio.  The site allows me to share my thoughts and experiences along with work that I am doing to further professional and volunteer interests.  I am interested in your feedback so please share, as appropriate.
