Save the Albatross – Used Stamps Please

Bring your used stamps to the geography department. As an Eco school, St Ivo is trying to help the RSPB to save the albatross. This bird is not often seen in the UK, but migrates huge distances every year. Sadly, many of them are caught in fishing lines and drown. The RSPB can collect used stamps, sell them, and use the money to buy tori lines, which albatross do not get caught in. Learn more about it here. To help the RSPB you can bring your used stamps to the geography department and we will deliver them to the RSPB headquarters in Sandy, Bedfordshire. As a school we should be able to make a big difference.

Improve your vocabulary

It is very important to use a good vocabulary when doing homework and writing some of the geography assessments.

Click on the picture to use a superb visual dictionary called Visuwords. It brings the art of word searching to life and will definitely help you reach the national curriculum level you are working towards…..
