Roald Dahl's Biography

Roald Dahl was born on September 13, 1916, in Llandaff, South Wales
When Roald was four years old, his father died, so his mother had to organise the trip alone for herself and her six children.
Dahl's first published work, inspired by a meeting with C. S. Forester, was "A Piece Of Cake."
Dahl was then reassigned to Washington, D.C., as an assistant air attache'. It was there
that he accidently began his career as a writer.
Roald Dahl's unusual name comes form his parents who were Norwegian, though they had already moved to Cardiff, Wales by the time of their son's birth.

Dahl married American actress Patrica Neal on 2 July 1953 at Trinitry Church in New
York City. Their marriage lasted for 30 years and they had five children:
Olivia, Tessa, Theo, Ophelia, and Lucy.

Harald wanted his children educated in British schools, so Sofie remained in the country to bring up her six children.

Adam Blade's Biography

Adam Blade is in his late twenties, and was born in Kent, England. His parents were both history teachers and amateur artists, and Adam grew up surrounded by his father's paintings of historic English battles which left a lifelong mark on his imagination. He was also fascinated by the ancient sword and shield that hung in his father's office. Adam's father said they were a Blade family heirloom. As a boy, Adam would spend days imagining who could have first owned the sword and shield. Eventually, he created a character Tom, the bravest boy warrior of them all. The idea for Beast Quest was born.
