These flexible products fall into two broad classes of use – Seals and Connectors.

Seals – When used as seals or interfaces, bellows and compensators protect reciprocating mechanisms, keeping them free from contamination by their environment.

Connectors – When used as a connector, the prime function is to contain substances passing between fixing points it connects. In this mode, a bellow or flexible connector can also be designed to take up vibration, thermal expansion, and some misalignment in the system.
