The home of rowing in Belfast, with over 100 active members training on the sheltered waters of the River Lagan; competing across Ireland, the United Kingdom and abroad

Rowing The Lagan Since 1842

Tracing its history back to 1842, Belfast Rowing Club is one of Ireland’s largest open clubs with over 100 members. From its current location at Hay Island in South Belfast, the club has trained Irish National Champions, Henley winners and World Cup medalists.

Belfast Rowing Club is always interested to hear from experienced rowers. We also hold adult beginner “Learn To Row” events to fit, healthy people interested in starting a new sport.
