The Indian Ocean Research and Conservation Association (IORCA) was formed in 2004 to provide professional expertise, technical assistance and information about the natural resources of the Indian Ocean. We specialize in many aspects of marine and coastal conservation and research, and through our combined knowledge and network of colleagues we can provide a range of skills including applied research, natural resource management capability, education and awareness materials, scientific information about habitats and species, and man’s use of them throughout the Indian Ocean..

IORCA is committed to  conservation of natural resources in the Indian Ocean region through sustainable development and the application of knowledge gained through both scientific research and community-based projects.
