Welcome

Welcome to Taymouth Castle Estate, a 451 acre private parkland estate on the gateway to the Scottish Highlands. Home to Taymouth castle, built in 1806 by the 4th Earl & 1st Marquis of Breadalbane, & sits on the South bank of the River Tay. The building is steeped in history having been visited by Prince Leopold of Belgium in 1819, who later became King of Belgium, and by Queen Victoria in 1842 who spent part of her honeymoon there, and also much later by King Charles III as a young child in the 1950’s who inscribed his family name into the fire hearth of the Queen Victoria honeymoon suite. The wider estate has an 18 hole championship golf course originally designed by James Braid in 1925, later extended to a 7,033 yard PGA standard with help from Stephen Gallacher.
Of the 166 un-built residential properties across the estate, only 48 sit on the golf course itself, with the first built house ‘the Showhouse’ selling February 2022 by our JV Partner.
The developer, Taymouth Castle Estate Residences Ltd, are releasing Phase One in March 2024.
