So do your thoughts and feelings.

Therapy is a unique process that helps you understand the difference between your feelings and your thoughts.

It offers a fresh perspective on your past experiences and a greater awareness of how they impact you in the present.

If you're ready for a change in your life and you're looking for an experienced guide, contact Christine Smith MSW, RSW.

The therapeutic relationship offers you unconditional acceptance, empathy, and advocacy. It is a unique relationship that is collaborative in nature, rather than a reciprocal relationship as you might have with a friend who takes their turn to share their story.

Your part in therapy is to be willing to trust and talk, as openly and honestly as you can. My role in our work together is to help you tell a more powerful, hopeful, and authentic story about yourself.

Am I a good fit for you? This is a question we should both take seriously because finding the right therapist is crucial to making your investment in therapy worthwhile. The best way to find out is to begin a conversation, so I welcome your call and any questions you might have about me and my practice.

The important thing is to take that first step. Healing is worth it, and you don’t have to go it alone.

Online sessions are available using: doxy.me, WhatsApp, or FaceTime.

ABOUT CHRISTINE

My professional experience includes over 34 years of work in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry, and program facilitation. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings such as inpatient psychiatry, outpatient mental health centers, nonprofit agencies, and private practice.

It gives me great joy and satisfaction when someone feels truly heard and understood.

Once that kind of understanding is established we can begin the journey of change together, based on a safe, trusting, therapeutic relationship.

I offer an empathetic ear, knowledge, experience, and advanced clinical training.
