Over the last 25 years Dr Catherine Heatherington has developed her expertise in designing gardens with a diverse range of habitats for wildlife. She has a wealth of expert knowledge in design, landscaping and horticulture that she brings to each project. Her creative and often contemporary designs demonstrate how gardens for wildlife need not be messy and informal.

Catherine is a former Fellow and Vice Chair of the Society of Garden Designers; the leading UK professional body for garden design.

Now retired, Catherine is focusing on writing and has had several books published on landscape and garden design. She also runs workshops for designers and gives talks to groups about design and attracting wildlife into the garden. Listen to her discussing her most recent book, Habitat Creation in Garden Design, on the gardening podcast, Roots and All.

A few of her past projects can be seen here as well information about her writing and research.
