Demonstrating how farming can work in harmony with nature

Cefn Coch is a working farm, where we prioritise nature conservation and contributing positively to our environment, as well as to producing the highest quality food possible. We also love to show visitors what makes this farm and this area so special.

Sustainable Welsh beef

Our regenerative farming methods use cattle as an integral part of the land management. Our farm-direct beef boxes offer the finest beef with a positive environmental impact.

Special ecology

We are surrounded by some really special habitats, flora and fauna here in the Cambrian Mountains and Llyfnant Valley.

Why not let ecologist Joe take you for a tour to discover what’s here?

Comfortable accommodation

We have two modern, cosy holiday cottages available on the farm, ideal for a getaway break in the peaceful Welsh hills. Very remote feeling, but only 4 miles from Machynlleth!

Discover the Cambrian Wildwood, right on our doorstep

Cambrian Wildwood (Coetir Anian) is a unique project that seeks to restore habitats using natural processes as much as possible, whilst also engaging people with the land and its wildlife. The entrance to the Wildwood is literally a stone’s throw from our cottages - if you have a decent arm!

Joe is an experienced ecologist who has worked with many organisations, such as the Woodland Trust and The Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh. He likes nothing better than showing people our beautiful habitats and landscapes, and explaining what is so special about them.

“Joe is a lovely friendly guide who will take you to an almost magical bit of old woodland and show you lichens, ferns and mosses that you may never have seen before. A wonderful three hours- the highpoint of my holiday.”
