August 24 – 28, 2022 “Rustavi” in Belgium August 24 – 28, 2022 Soon Ensemble “Rustavi” will go on a tour to the capital of Belgium, Brussels. On August 26th and 27th Ensemble “Rustavi” will participate in the concerts having of national importance in Brussels. „Nuit des Choeurs“ is a concept which has been staged since the year 2000 and which takes the form of a “spectacle-promenade” accompanied with beautiful sound and light at the heart of a ruined abbey. Performance venue: the Abbey of Villers-la-Ville. Type of site: outdoors / covered stage. Type of performance: singing (a cappella). The concerts begin at 6 p.m. by the local time. Ensemble “Rustavi” is also invited to the main stage for the apotheosis that will take place in the late evening (around 00:00). “Rustavi” has prepared a special surprise for the listener!

August 18 – 21, 2022 “Rustavi” in Switzerland August 18 – 21, 2022 On August 19th, at 8 p.m. by the local time, there will be held the opening concert of the festival at Cathedral of Our Lady of Sion. The State Academic Ensemble “Rustavi” of Georgian Folk Song and Dance is preparing for the next important tour with usual joy, enthusiasm, and responsibility. This time the format is different. In the finale, as a surprise, Ensemble “Rustavi” will perform a Ukrainian song together with the Ukrainian Chamber Orchestra “Virtuoso of Kiev”. Sion, Switzerland After a long interval, from August 21 to August 23 of 2021, the State Academic Ensemble “Rustavi” of Georgian Folk Song and Dance is going on a tour to Switzerland. Yakutsk, The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) July 4 – 10, 2016 III International Festival “Meeting of UNESCO Masterpieces on Olonkho1 Land” will be held by the Ministry of Culture and Spiritual Development of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic within VI International Sports Games “Children of Asia” (Have been held since 2008 in Yakutsk). The event is being held through the support of UNESCO and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Such a format of the cultural dialogue is unique by its character for it brings together musical masterpieces of the world and with its multifarious spectrum embellishes the festival itself. The festival has a status of international festival and it comprises: • Concerts and performances of art collectives that represent cultural elements and are proclaimed by UNESCO Masterpieces of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. • International scientific symposium dedicated to the intangible heritage of humanity. • Master classes, various kinds of cultural events. The aim of the festival is: • Maintenance and popularization of the Masterpieces of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. • Involvement of the youth, public into the maintenance of intangible cultural heritage and cultural diversity more actively. • Encouragement and broadening of international cultural and scientific co-operation. The tasks of the festival are: • Organization of exchange of experience on an international level for maintenance and popularization of the cultural elements that are proclaimed by UNESCO Masterpieces of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. • Spread of knowledge about Masterpieces of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity, familiarization of the youth and generally public with the cultural diversity. • Presentation of the programs connecting with the preservation and development of Yakut heroic epos Olonkho of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to the international society. • There are invited art collectives, scientists, specialists, different performers of the cultural elements proclaimed by UNESCO Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity to participate into the festival. • The participants of the festival will take part in concerts, performances, TV programs, press-conferences, the scientific symposium, also in the opening ceremony of VI International Sports Games “Children of Asia”. Connecting with the fact on May 18th, 2001 UNESCO proclaimed Georgian folk song a Masterpiece of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity’s Spiritual Culture, the Ensemble “Rustavi” is invited to the event with special status. Taking into consideration the very high demands to the specialists giving master classes, organizers of scientific-cultural events and the experts in intangible heritage, Mr. Anzor Erkomaishvili is invited as the main person to the symposium being held within the festival. The event will also be attended by Ms. Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO. 1 The oldest epic art of the Yakuts (Sakha). It occupies central place in the system of the folklore of the Yakuts. The term “Olonkho” denotes an epic tradition in general as well as the name of different folktales. In 2005 UNESCO proclaimed Olonkho “Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity“.

Ensemble “Rustavi” to Lithuania On June 7th through the arrangement of the Embassy of Georgia to the Republic of Lithuania, in Vilnius there was celebrated 25th anniversary dedicated to the restoration of independence of Georgia. The Ambassador of Georgia Khatuna Salukvadze greeted the participants of the event. Among the attendants there was the Minister of Culture, the Minister of Economy, the Minister of Health, the First Vice-Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. The group of dancers of the State Academic Ensemble “Rustavi” of Georgian Folk Song and Dance and the Ensemble “Kartuli Khmebi” (“Georgian Voices”) introduced their own works to the invited guests. Besides, the “Amber Quartet” of Lithuanian musicians performed Georgian musical pieces on string amber instruments. There was also held degustation of the Georgian cuisine and wine, a photo exhibition, a fair of Georgian products.

“Rustavi” to Great Britain October 9 – 15, 2015 Ensemble “Rustavi”, a renowned Georgian folk song and dance ensemble, under the guidance of Anzor Erkomaishvili is taking part in the Festival of Culture in Gloucester for the Rugby World Cup in October 2015. The project is supported by Arts Council England and forms part of Gloucester’s extensive cultural programme for the Rugby World Cup. The entire project comprises of, – a large-scale community dance programme, a schools’ workshop programme, and a music programme in Gloucester City Centre representing all the visiting nations that are playing in Gloucester: Georgia, Tonga, Japan, the USA, Scotland, Argentina. Ensemble “Rustavi” will be performing in Gloucester Cathedral Church on the 10th of October at 6:00 p m with a master class in the afternoon and a reception prior to the performance. Geneva, Switzerland October 6 – 8, 2015 Soon the group of the State Academic Ensemble “Rustavi” of Georgian Folk Song and Dance will make a visit to Switzerland. In Geneva, within the General Assembly of WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), there will be held a Fair of Georgian Traditional Samples of Handicraft. “Rustavi” to the People’s Republic of China August 6 – 15, 2015 This August, the men’s choir of the State Academic Ensemble “Rustavi” of Georgian Folk Song and Dance is invited to several provinces of the People’s Republic of China in order to hold concerts. Ensemble “Rustavi” to the Holy See (Vatican) May 25 – 27, 2015 On May 25th the men’s choir of the State Academic Ensemble “Rustavi” of Georgian Folk Song and Dance under the guidance of its Artistic Director, Mr. Anzor Erkomaishvili is invited to Vatican by the President of the Pontifical Council for Culture of the Holy See Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi in order to hold a concert at St. George church in Velabro, Rome. There will be performed church hymns. II concert will be held at St. Augustine church with a different program. The tour is arranged by the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and takes place within the invitation of the Embassy of Georgia to the Holy See (Vatican). The delegation of Georgia is headed by the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia Mr. Mikheil Giorgadze. The Ensemble “Rustavi” is returning to Georgia on May 27th.

Tallinn, Republic of Estonia On January 29th Ensemble ‘Rustavi’ is leaving for Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It will participate in an annual festival ‘Tallinn International Festival of Barocco Music’ founded by an outstanding violinist and conductor, famous researcher and expert in the music of Middle Ages and Barocco Period Andres Mustonin. The festival is going to be held for 23rd time and its multifarious programme means great opera productions, participation of the groups of rock opera and children’s opera, performance of an illustrious viola player and conductor Yuri Bashmet and his orchestra ‘Moscow Soloists’, a solo concert of a famous Italian soprano Gemma Bertanolli, participation of an Estonian jazz trio. The Days of Culture in Prague On September 18th our first concert was held in a new building of the embassy of Georgia. Our second and the main concert was planned for September 19th to one of the oldest churches of St. Simon Jude. There is a unique organ there and in the past there performed Mozart and Haydn. Georgia on EXPO 2010 On October 28th in the concert halls of EXPO 2010 there were planned our two concerts. The first one was beginning at 10 a.m. and the second one at 7 pm. In the evening, at 7 pm, the hall was full of people. There were about 3000 people. The concert which was held in Bratislava was dedicated to the celebration of the centennial of the first Georgian Republic and 25 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Slovakia.
