Jennifer Hardy is a Derry/Donegal based singer, musician, songwriter, composer and sound designer from Derry, Ireland.

Queen Grace is Hardy’s latest project. Her new moniker is inspired by the Irish pirate queen Gráinne O’Malley.  She will delve into the Irish folk music archives and draw some of her own experiences of growing up in Derry for some self penned songs.  Her mission is to help keep the culture of Irish folk music and stories of Irish people and in particular Irish women alive. She is currently recording the Queen Grace debut album, due for release in February 2023.

In November 2021 Hardy made her TV debut as a composer for the soundtrack to Ewan MacColl documentary film ‘Set The Night On Fire’ when it aired on Sky Arts.  The instrumental pieces were inspired by the work or Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger.

During the first lockdown of the Covid 19 pandemic Hardy recorded and posted her very first Facebook video.  She sang an acoustic cover of Joy Division’s Disorder.  A few days later she received a message from hacienda DJ Dave Haslam asking her to play memorial concert to commemorate Ian Curtis’s 40th Anniversary at The Met in Bury.  It was watched live my thousands all over the world.

Jennifer has performed at SXSW followed by a tour of California. In the UK she played Edinburgh Fringe, Head For The Hills festival, Wickerman Festival, Loch Lomond Festival, How The Light Gets In Festival, Manchester Irish Festival. She has also toured South Western Australia and Western Australia.
