About_Images_ThisisNOTBrent_Comp

This is not Brent Arnold.

This is my grandfather Gordon Gordo Law. He was the right mix of thoughtful, smart, and funny. A little bit of him is in everything I do.

But this is me.

I am a designer and educator working across product, technology, hardware, and brand.

About_Images_TheseDays_Comp

My little family is hectic.

The four of us live in a small Connecticut beach town, where we spend our time riding bikes, building fires, hanging with our weirdo dog, Bullet, and generally trying to survive the fact that half of us are under four years old.

I work at Meta.

Currently, I work on Messenger, while previously I worked on Instagram. I'm fortunate enough to work with many incredibly talented and thoughtful product teams and product designers.

Previously, I worked at Lyft.

There I lead two multidisciplinary teams working across design, research, brand, and hardware. We created micromobility products that people love and cities need by defining a future of transportation focused on people, transit, and cyclists.

I was Design Director at Motivate.

I supported teams across creative, brand, and product design. We helped usher in North America’s bikeshare revolution and lead the company through an acquisition.

I worked with the American Museum of Natural History.

At DOOR3, I had the opportunity to lead a multi-year engagement providing creative direction and product strategy across a number of immersive and experiential products.

And I loved teaching at the School of Visual Arts.

I was a founding faculty member of Products of Design, an MFA program focused on creating the next generation of design leaders. During my six years there, I developed and taught “Beyond Screens,” a full-semester course that aimed to provide students with the framework to understand, discuss, and design products for screens.
