A Little About Us
Long Beach Lodge began when Long Beach was just a little city near the beach on a floor above a bank in 1896.
March message from the Master
Brethren,
It seems like this year is flying by. We’re now heading into March and the next thing you know, it’ll be December.
I hope everyone is enjoying the drought quenching rain we’ve been having. It’ll soon be gone and we’ll be wishing for it to come back.
Our Sweetheart’s Night was a success. The band from a local High School was exceptional, as before. We had good food, good fellowship along with fun Music and Dancing.
March will be our Saint Patrick’s themed dinner. Please plan to attend.
The lodge is in good shape. We have a few with past dues pending so if you have not done so, please get that squared away.
We have our bowling tournament against International City slated for May 31. It will be a fun outing. I look forward to your attendance.
We’ll have a few changes in the Officer’s line coming up in the next few months. More of that to follow as soon as it gets solidified.
We’re looking forward to better attendance at our functions and lodge meetings. I understand life gets in the way for all of us, but please try to attend as often as possible. We have a 3rd degree coming up for Brother Ron Noble on March 9th, which is a Saturday. Round Table lodge will be offering their services for the 2nd section. It’ll be a good morning to get together. Lunch will be served afterward. I hope to see you all there in support of our soon-to-be newly raised Master Mason.
I look forward to seeing you all on March 7 for our stated meeting and dinner.
Fraternally,
Dean West
Master
March message from the Senior Warden
Brethren,
Greetings from the West, Brethren,
I echo the sentiment that time appears to be slipping through our grasp at an ever-accelerating pace. As we approach the month of March, I am filled with anticipation for the great moments we will share together. Our collective success relies on the unwavering support of each member, and in the midst of our hectic schedules, your commitment remains paramount.
I encourage each one of you to extend our fraternal bonds by bringing another brother into our gatherings. Your support, active participation, and physical presence contribute immeasurably to the vitality of our lodge.
Mark your calendars for the upcoming events:
- March 7 – Stated Meeting and Dinner
- March 9 – 3rd Degree – Ron Noble (with Round Table Lodge)
- March 14 – Officer’s Practice
- March 21 – Officer’s Practice
- March 28 – OSI (At International City Lodge)
Let us broaden the embrace of our Masonic family by introducing our wives, widows (sweethearts), kids, and friends to the enriching experience of Stated Meeting Dinners. Their presence will undoubtedly enhance the joy and camaraderie that define our lodge activities.
In closing, may God’s love envelop each one of you.
Ever to walk and act,
Fraternally,
Harry Bugarin
Senior Warden
March message from the Junior Warden
Brethren,
Long Beach Lodge Sweethearts’ and Distinguished Ladies Night was rather fun even though it was low attendance. However, the same effort by brothers and other volunteers was given in anticipation of a great night.
Brethren, it is up to us to keep these events alive and to put excitement in our lodge.
It is up to us to retain membership by first being there ourselves. We owe it our lodge.
Our membership had been considerably lacking of participation in many aspects such as meetings, degrees and social events.
Let’s all work together in inspiring our new brothers and our future brothers which we owe to share our knowledge and guide them to their own journey in Masonry as those brothers have done for us before our time.
Your Brother in the South,
Fraternally,Dave Romero
Junior Warden
