The MMRC is an active club of over 100 members.
Come and see "Bergtalbahn", the club's H0 scale layout and meet the other club members. We will be more than willing to help you get started or back into this great hobby.

Our Clubrooms are located in SAVAGE PARK, off McParland Street in Upper Hutt.
Go down the long driveway (signposted for Upper Hutt Kindergarten and beside #14 McParland) and we are in the grey Hall on the left side.
The clubrooms are open most Friday's from 7:30pm (till late) and most Saturday's 10am till about 4pm.

The MMRC is open often and encourages members to participate in the activities being held. Along with running trains on the various club layouts we build layouts and model buildings and scenery. We are regularly involved in model train shows.
There's support and opportunities to learn about the many aspects of model trains as well as visiting other clubs or shows around the country.

Skills Clinics
The club holds regular skills and "how to" sessions on all aspects of modelling. In addition, the clubrooms are open every week so you can get assistance if you need it.
Shows and Events
We attend shows around the country each year and events such modelling conventions and train related activities. Some members toured in Europe as a group, not too long ago!

Layout Tours
Our regular big event of the year. This show is NZ's biggest and is booked this year for 20th and 21st November, again at the fantastic Walter Nash Centre in Lower Hutt.

Sales Event! Members, a reminder there is a large Goods for Sale event planned for the next club meeting - whenever we get out of lockdown! Probably the late September meet ... great bargains to be had.
The MMRC is exhibiting at the Tauranga "Summer Train Show" in January 2022. Bergtalbahn (HO) and Istein (1 Gauge) will both be attending. See the TMRC website here.
The MMRC and Waikanae Rotary clubs hosted the very successful Kapiti Express Model Train Show in April 2021 in Waikanae. This great show will be back at the same venue in 2023!
