Thought of the moment
Is my own personal web page over before it started?
In the 10 hours it took to purchase, create and upload this web site I could have created a larger multimedia wiki or blog that I built with multiple co-contributors and was published to a huge audience for free! e.g. PBWiki

About
Peak Performance Consultant - ICT in Education
My prime focus is the implementation of innovative ICT technologies and initiatives to raise standards and achievement throughout education. This includes the use of VLE's, Classroom 2.0, collaborative media, mobile learning, A4L, Digital Video, hi-performance graphics, L2L, and communication with V-Conf, Webinars, Flashmeeting and Skype.

Wiki
'Very Web 1.0'. Not very long ago Wikipedia consisted of text and links
A great way to bring things together. Now PBWiki and Wikispaces offer a rich mulimedia environment through the use of 'widgets'.

Blog
I Wordpress, Blogspot and Edublog
Rant, rave, vent your spleen, or conversely, praise someone to the high heavens. Blogs are a great way to network with like-minded people. Web 3.0 promises to suggest links and patterns for you.

Social Networking - ICT lead practitioners
An example of a 'Ning' community.
It is simple to set up a self contained virtual community in a 'walled garden' with forums, embedded videos and discussion groups.

ICT @ Birkdale
Virtual tours, Social Networking, Radio FM and 24/7 Parent's Gateway
Of course, 'saying aint doin'! All of these ideas need to benefit learners or what's the point?

Knee-jerk bans
At a recent classroom2.0 conference, over 50% of web 2.0 sites were banned by the LA.

gcast Learners want to use mobile phones, text and chat. Why not ask them to poll a lesson evaluation for a plenary.
