Is it true that Rangers are talking to Daniel Armstrong, Pat McNair, and some midfielder from L Sofia? Or is it just fake news as Trump would say?

Anyone picking anything up on Ange Ahoussou? Looks a similar profile to the lad from Panama, may face some competition though.

We seem to be targeting a different market. imo, a sensible decision. better value, and players that will mb be easier to pay.

Cortes future will apparently be sorted out this weekend as well.

Cortes is a smart signing he looked good, young and plenty of potential.

Watched a YouTube clip ( I know! ), big strong lad, worry for me is half the tackles/ blocks he made were debatable fouls?, would our silly wee country and refs allow him to do this?
Could be a great signing though with experience next to him.

 1

09 May 2024 23:42:07
Rangersrab seen him play?

10 May 2024 07:49:51
Has been on going since March. Player met us in London and was up here at weekend.

 1

10 May 2024 08:34:37
A fair bit of competition for his signature though.

Blue - "Good stuff. Koppen seems to be on the balls. "
That's a serious conviction to getting deals done! đŸ€Ł.

Fingers crossed some new defensive blood in need new back 4.

10 May 2024 09:50:32
I have a Bulgarian at my work and he says similar attributes to Balogun. Strong in air and in the tackle with great pace. Thinks will end up in top 5 league making us decent money. He thinks between 2 and 3 for the fee. Also says he's been told we are actively looking in Eastern Europe as well as South America.

 1

10 May 2024 11:35:41
Lets reserve judgement until we see play for us. Hope he's nothing like our previous signings.

 2

10 May 2024 11:53:01
Eastern Europe, South America, Scandinavia. They are the markets we should be going to. For our budget and what we can afford it’s best value for money.

 1

10 May 2024 12:26:53
I agree wishy lesser fees and wages for players and if we develop them then we can sell on for profit.

 1

10 May 2024 13:07:07
No point of the site then can gough let’s just not have an opinion.

10 May 2024 15:41:16
The boy looks really strong and looks comfortable carrying the ball with plenty of pace as well, good age and left footed, plenty of boxes ticked can see why he’s been looked at.

 0

10 May 2024 15:46:54
Wishy other than south American Market Scottish clubs have always done well in Eastern Europe and Scandinavian markets. Think these are markets we would do very well in. Would also look at similar to what the Germans do with the American University/ college players. Invite some of the better players over for a trial.

@john
Is the investor Phil Martin.

 0

09 May 2024 15:31:07
Does it really matter who it is or how many shares they will buy. Gone are the days of a sugar daddy and the only reason someone would invest in a club is for the potential that the share price might rise. We have busy savy people at the helm now so there isn’t anything that an investor could bring to the table unless they had a direct link to a huge company that could increase sponsorship money by paying over the odds for their name on our beloved strip.

 2

09 may 2024 16:09:30
yes, it does matter, obviously.

 6

09 May 2024 16:11:19
People would invest if we could prove the player trading model. Look at Benfica. We haven't done that yet although I'm confident in Koppen.

 1

09 May 2024 18:35:30
Had heard a month ago british investor interested. Only thing is with ffp what can an investor really do.

 1

09 May 2024 19:11:07
Of course it matters! Doh!

 4

09 May 2024 19:25:12
55, an investor can put money into club infrastructure and a small amount into playing staff.

 0

09 May 2024 19:25:28
newcastle just got bought by a (sugar daddy) so did birmingham as well. Newcastle obvs being the saudis.

 0

09 May 2024 20:01:48
The big money from any source would be blocked by the current controllers. They will not give up control to anyone at any amount of money, Tattie howkers fc are the same.

If Saudi prince took over the Jags they would stroll our league very soon after actually they could take over Bonnyrigg Rose and sort it out easily.

CEO of Cora is Phil Martin.

 1

09 May 2024 21:02:35
Deboer that's kind of what's already been done.

 2

09 May 2024 22:01:55
Is it just me or is there a lot of 0-0 duck egg posters appearing all of a suddenđŸ€”.

 2

09 May 2024 22:10:09
Forth, that is not what I am hearing, two current major shareholders willing to divest of their shareholding. Across the City the situation is different.

 2

09 May 2024 22:14:38
Always surprised that someone with real money doesn't come in and have a good chance of CL money and exposure every year, with not a lit of investment, after all (let's be honest! ) They could buy our club for less than a top striker in EPL.

 0

10 May 2024 00:10:16
With all the money in the world Newcastle can’t buy a player. Rules of ffp dictate that all money spent will ultimately have to come from revenue so having a multi billionaire backer doesn’t mean we can have handouts and buy the original Ronaldo like before. This is the reason why the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona have made their stadiums bigger to maximise their income so they can spend more money on non playing staff and infrastructure.

 0

10 May 2024 10:03:47
Ausbear, your last point kind of proves everyone else point? A billionaire owner could upgrade the stadium in turn increasing revenue also could get the very best of scouting departments set up. You don’t need a 100m a summer to win the Scottish league.

He said its not his place to mention his name but has gave clues to who he is, is that not more or less giving his name?

 1

10 May 2024 13:08:19

09 May 2024 13:25:38
@john 27

Please let it be Tom Hunter 😅.

 5

09 May 2024 18:34:25
Reading Johns final clue fairly obvious who it is I think.

 0

09 May 2024 20:50:11
Rab who do you think it is?

 0

09 May 2024 13:22:36
@John27

John regarding your post on the rumour someone buying up Shares with possible investment coming from them if they manage to buy Kings shares

You said someone from Scotland can I ask are they Scottish? Or just a businessman who lives currently in Scotland?

 0

09 May 2024 14:17:25
Last clue. Yes he is Scottish. Sold his business for Cora 100 million.

 1

09 may 2024 14:33:26
whisky man?

 0

09 May 2024 14:34:20
John, one name I've heard is from the East of Scotland, but there was also a suggestion that there could be South African interest as well. Total net worth of parties was quoted as circa ÂŁ300m.

 1

09 May 2024 14:45:23
John is it Rene Buehlmann by any chance?

 0

09 May 2024 14:54:34
Ahh well that’s goes my idea for a rich Arab prince out the window. đŸ€Ł But seriously tho whoever it is albeit he has good intentions is obviously needed. Although if we get investment I don’t think we could just buy a load of players anyway because of FFP, our revenue is not going to be that great with no CL, so either we finish 2nd and go through the qualifiers, which I don’t think is impossible because we were a bit unlucky to get PSV twice and the 2nd time they were a lot better, we could have got a much easier tie.

Anyway I don’t think investors just pump money in for players could be for something else. I find the Newcastle situation interesting, supposedly the richest club on the planet but can’t overspend because of their revenue. And they’re most expensive player can’t play because of a gambling ban.

If anyone is after King's Shares, it will have to be a great offer. he is Rumoured to have received and Rejected ÂŁ25m, so it's going to have to be a huge amount for it to happen.

09 May 2024 20:10:26
Cora = Phil Martin.

 0

09 May 2024 23:20:19
If ny guess is right Cora is a typo and should read Circa, leading to it being Jim McColl, John?
