Pinots of the world tasting: 3rd March, 4pm
Is there anything that gives the vigneron more heartache and the drinker more pleasure than the almost mythical Pinot Noir? Notoriously difficult to grow and sometimes wildly misunderstood, this is a delicate thin-skinned variety with alluring spice and complexity when grown correctly, or a flabby mess in the wrong hands. Fret no more, however, as we go on a journey of discovery to six different corners of the world, everything from the alpine frozen north (Italy, so not quite the permafrost of Lapland…) through some pioneers from Australasia and the US, and finishing up in the heartland of Burgundy. This is definitely not a tasting to be missed.
Date and time: Sunday 3rd March, starting at 4pm
