The Windsor House Charity Organization has long been known for our continued work in helping families find housing and also temporary accommodations. We operate several shelters within Australia and have hundreds of volunteers on staff who can help those in need get back on their feet. Now, we are expanding the list of services which we provide to include medical aid for anyone who cannot afford to cover their basic medical needs. The medical assistance we can provide can be a thumb brace or more substantial, such as covering a bill for a medical emergency. We are excited to be able to give additional support to the families in our area who need it the most.
How Our Assistance Works
At the Windsor House, our goal is to never turn anyone down. Those who come to one of our shelters seeking housing or visit our main offices asking for help will never be turned away. We have certified volunteers and professional staff who will work with each person and family on a case by case basis. We review your personal situation and help make a plan to get you back on your feet. To begin, we will get you housing if needed, ensuring you have a place to call home at the end of the night. We will ask if you have any medical needs, helping you get an ankle brace or moon boot if you need help walking or get you to a general doctor for a physical. Then, we will guide you into the workforce, helping to secure a job that you love and can easily perform. We will be there every step of the way!

If you have dreamed of helping those in need, working at the Windsor House may be the perfect place for you. We are always seeking professional volunteers in fields such as social work, employment guidance, and now that we are offering medical assistance, we need board certified doctors as well. If you are a therapist, you can come and talk to those in our care, giving them a warm shoulder to lean on. If you are a doctor, you can help fit someone in a shoulder brace, giving them physical relief. Even if you help at our office or in our shelters once a week, you will be making a difference in someone’s life!
