In 2020 I decided to have a sustainable Christmas and make cashmere gloves as gifts for my nearest and dearest, which turned into making a few extra pairs for my friends nearests and dearests, which escalated into to trading gloves on the school run like a crazy cozy dealer. This year I’m having another go, so I have a proper Etsy shop, which is much better than lurking in the street with a bag of goodies.

My preloved cashmere comes from donations, then charity shops, then Depop and eBay if I want particular colours or patterns. I try to waste as little as possible, and scraps that remain are turning into a blanket that will keep me warm over winter.

My sewing machine was a gift for my 30th birthday, which I never used until I took some lessons with my local craft shop owner on my 40th birthday. I graze in the North Essex countryside with my lovely herd of kids, some chickens and a dog.
