Leven House Bed and Breakfast & Squirrel Away is located in Crieff, Perthshire. Crieff is a bustling country town set amidst magnificent Perthshire scenery. Situated 18 miles west of Perth, Crieff straddles the Highland Boundary Fault where the rolling Lowland landscape meets majestic Highland terrain. It is a great touring base to explore the Highlands of Scotland and for any bikers wishing to explore the Crieff Cloverleaf. Also Crieff is just over a hour to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Throughout medieval times the town was a major political and judicial centre that developed into the main cattle trading centre in Scotland between the 16th and 18th centuries. Drovers, and up to 30,000 black cattle, would converge on the huge livestock market. Every year in Crieff we celebrate this with the annual Crieff and Strathearn Drovers Tyrst Walking Festival.
If outdoor activities are your thing then Crieff has plenty to offer. Leven House Bed and Breakfast is a 5 minute walk from Scotland’s Premier outdoor activity centre, ACTION GLEN and also Crieff Golf Club is located a short walk from us a offers a great test of Golf.
Crieff town centre supports a wide range of family-run businesses offering the best of food and drink, clothing, gifts, crafts and arts. Over the past years Crieff has built a reputation for fine food with an amazing choice of cafés, coffee shops, restaurants for fine or casual dining.
A popular destination for tourists, Crieff’s attractions include the Caithness Glass Visitor Centre and if you fancy a wee Dram you can visit Scotlands Oldest working Distillery, Glenturret Distillery. Innerpeffray Library (established c. 1680), Scotland’s oldest lending library, is also nearby.
At Leven House Bed and Breakfast we are also opposite Macrosty Park which has a great children’s play area and leads to wonderful walks including Lady Mary’s Walk, a fantastic gentle walk that is perfect for all seasons.
If you are feeling adventurous then you can hit the open water and hire Paddle boards. They can be delivered here from our partner Board Silly and you can head to Loch Earn for a great day out. Cost is £30 per board per day and just ask and we can make the arrangements.

Our Bed and Breakfast offers 5 bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, providing double, twin and family accommodation at an affordable price. It’s a welcoming, friendly place for all travellers, walkers, cyclists, motorcyclists, golfers and whomever else may come to Crieff to stay and we are also happy to look after larger groups and parties of up to 16, ideal for walking or golfing groups.
